The ACDS Pelham branch, located in Pelham, provides preschool special education programs consisting of 8:1:2 and 12:1:2 classes. ACDS Pelham is looking for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team! The SLP is responsible for evaluating and treating children with a wide range of speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing delays. The SLP contributes goals to the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and works on these objectives throughout the school year. Services are provided in-person through our center-based program — no travel required. 30 hours per week, full-time position Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 8:30am to 3:00pm Wednesday – 8:30am to 3:30pm Friday – 8:30am to 2:30pm Excellent hours! Key responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) include: Provide speech-language therapy services as mandated by students' IEPs, including both individual and group sessions. Evaluate students and develop comprehensive treatment plans to address speech, language, communication, and feeding goals. Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including daily session notes, progress reports, evaluations, and annual IEP updates. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with other professionals to develop appropriate goals and ensure successful intervention. Work closely with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, and families to support generalization of skills. Use evidence-based practices and therapy techniques appropriate for preschool-aged children with developmental disabilities. Provide support for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when applicable. Stay current with NYS regulations and ASHA standards for the provision of speech-language services.
