Occupational TherapistACDS Scarsdale is a full-day special needs preschool program that offers a wide range of therapies to children ages 3-5. In addition to the preschool curriculum, children receive center-based physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We also provide family training and counseling. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment and offer our families education and encouragement to help their children reach their goals.ACDS Westchester is looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in pediatrics to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team! The OT is responsible for the remediation of children with a wide range of disabilities/delays. Areas addressed include fine motor, gross motor, visual-perceptual and self-help skills. The OT will utilize a variety of strategies including sensory integration and adaptive techniques to help students reach their maximum potential. The OT contributes goals to the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and will work on these target objectives throughout the school year. The OT will provide quality individual and group sessions in person while working at our center-based program (no traveling required).Key responsibilities of the Physical Therapist include:· The OT will provide and direct occupational therapy services to students as per their IEP mandates.· The OT will develop treatment plans to achieve identified goals.· The OT will adhere to applicable principles and practices of occupational therapy, NBCOT policies/procedures, and state regulations.· The OT will work collaboratively with SLPs, PT’s, school psychologists, behavioral team, and classroom staff as needed to provide positive treatment outcomes.· The OT will work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP services· The OT will complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely (e.g., daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.).· The OT will participate in meetings and consultations with education staff and the multidisciplinary team concerning the needs of each child as related to his/her mandated services and progress updatesQualifications:· Valid New York State Occupational Therapist license· Master’s Degree from an accredited program· NPI number· Pediatric experience is preferred· New Graduates with pediatric experience will be consideredJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceMedical specialties:PediatricsRole characteristics:ChildrenNo travelSchedule:Monday to FridayWork setting:In-personSchoolAbility to commute/relocate:Scarsdale, NY 10583: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Master's (Preferred)Experience:Special needs: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:NYS Occupational Therapy License (Preferred)Work Location: In person
