RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, and monitor special education policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with federal and state guidelines, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Supervise and evaluate CSE ChairpersonsSupervise and evaluate special education staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.Conduct CSE meetingsAttend training and turn key information with pertinent staffCoordinate and facilitate professional development opportunities for special education staff and general education teachers regarding best practices in special education.Oversee the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Special Education and Pupil Services REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Special Education and Pupil Services SALARY: Salary Range $139,614 - $153,813 (based on experience) EFFECTIVE: July 1, 2025 EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:All costs associated with these employment requirements are the responsibility of the employee:Fingerprint clearance from the NY State Department of Education (NYSED)Drug ScreeningPhysical Examination Patchogue-Medford Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
