The Executive Director of My Brother’s Keeper Initiatives will support the implementation of the Yonkers Obama Foundation MBK Alliance Model Community Initiatives. The selected candidate is expected to have proven communication skills and collaborative experience with colleagues, parents, educators, and the community. Working with central office administration, the Executive Director will be responsible for assisting in leading the development, organization, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the MBK Initiatives, as well as supporting the supervision of schools.Reports to: Associate Superintendent(s) of School Leadership, Engagement, and Equity.Responsibilities:- Under the supervision of the Associate Superintendent, oversees and leads the development, organization, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Yonkers MBK Initiatives.- Aligns compliance reports and academic/SEL supports to meet the needs of all students.- Works closely with the District’s Research, Evaluation & Reporting department in the collection and analysis of data as well as using data to inform decisions.- Serves as one of the liaisons with the Obama MBK Alliance to address District needs and implement the Alliance’s support.- Assists with the evaluation reports for MBK Initiatives.- Manages the Obama Alliance grant and possible other grants related to Yonkers MBK.- Performs other such duties as assigned by the Executive Director of School Improvement and Innovations.- Engages policymakers in discussions involving the outcomes of programs that impact young men of color.- Provides oversight and direction in the creation and dissemination of policy as it relates to young men of color.- Leads MBK School Chapters as required in implementing MBK Milestones.- Assists with coordination of District MBK events.- Commits to personal professional development.- Travels to MBK Alliance Model Communities Convenings as required.- Conduct Multidimensional Principal Performance Rubric (MPPR) for assigned schools.- Assists with the implementation of the Yonkers 2030 Strategic PlanQualifications:• Minimum of 5 years teaching/administrative experience at the building or central office level.• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written required.• Understanding of NYS Next Generation Learning Standards, NYS Graduation requirements and pathways, CRE Framework, and Early Childhood Literacy Models.• Experience in and/or demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement workshops• Knowledge of Systems Change, Project Management, and an ability to translate ideas into content and deliverables.• Knowledge of comprehensive and innovative teaching, specifically adult learning and learning for boys and young men of color.• Attend Board of Education Meetings, and work extended hours, evenings, and weekends.• Spanish speaking, preferred.• Experience in the following is preferred: Differentiated Instruction, Computer Literacy, Culturally Responsive Education, Parent Engagement, and Family Engagement.If you are interested, please apply online by Friday, August 22, 2025 Ms. Noreen McManus RyanOffice of the SuperintendentYonkers Public SchoolsOne Larkin CenterYonkers, New York 10701NMCMANUSRYAN@yonkerspublicschools.orgWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer
