The Wynantskill UFSD is looking for a leave replacement for Pre-K from November 2025 to June 2026. Responsibilities:Provide daily instruction aligned with the Pre-K curriculum and NYS Prekindergarten Learning Standards.Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and motor skill development.Foster a positive classroom community that encourages respect, curiosity, and a love of learning.Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.Collaborate with teaching assistants, service providers, and school staff to meet individual student needs.Monitor student growth and document observations, assessments, and progress reports.Ensure a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.Attend required faculty meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences.Adhere to all school district policies and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).Valid NYS Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 6 preferred).Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a school setting.Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to be flexible, patient, and responsive to the needs of young learners.
