OLIVE MIDDLE SCHOOLLIVING ENVIRONMENT TEACHER Duties include but are not limited to:¨ Planning, preparing and delivering appropriate lessons using a variety of presentation methods¨ Communicates higher level thinking strategies and problem-solving techniques¨ Creating and maintaining a positive classroom environment that promotes good behavior and commitment to excellence¨ Building relationships with parents by communicating frequently to inform them of student academic and personal growth¨ Assessing student progress to inform students of growth and to modify instruction¨ Maintaining records of pupils’ progress and development with high integrity¨ Researching new topic areas and maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge¨ Selecting and using a range of various learning resources¨ Preparing students for NYS and District mandated testing Minimum Qualifications: New York State Education Teacher Certification in Living Environment/General Science Grades 7-12Immediate Supervisor: Milton L. Olive Middle School Principal Duration: 2023-2024 School Year Salary: Per WTA Contract
