REVISED POSTINGPOSITION AVAILABLE2023-2024 ANTICIPATED VACANCYSUFFOLK COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL SERVICE POSITION:OFFICE APPLICATION SPECIALIST Duties include but are not limited to:· Designs database systems and management tools.· Installs, updates, and maintains computer databases.· Assesses database performance by developing protocols to measure results and identify problem areas.· Supports database performance by monitoring, evaluating, and resolving processing and programming problems.· Secures database by preparing access and control policies and procedures and implementing disaster recovery procedures.· Supports application design by contributing expertise to operations and technical support teams.· Provides technical support to employees. Qualifications:Graduation from college with an Associate’s Degree in a field related to office information systems and technologies; and 2 years experience in the utilization of software to create or design specialized forms, reports or models; or, Graduation from a standard Senior High School, or High School Equivalency Diploma and four years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits listed above.
