Position: Teaching Assistant - High School Program Location: Watervliet Jr Sr High School – EVOLVE program(Located at Watervliet Civic Center) Start Date: ASAP Salary: $18.11 per hour (plus credit stipends) - per WSSA contract (An additional 0.2 to 0.4 - teacher salary per WTA contract if certified in Social Studies, Math or Science.)Job Description: Ability to work with students/staff in varied social/cultural backgrounds.Work closely with the core EVOLVE teacher and to ensure the students receive the appropriate academic and social skills support.Collaborate and assist the teacher to ensure a safe and supportive educational environment. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Current NYS TA or Teacher Certification required.2. Ability to work with students/staff in varied social/cultural backgrounds.3. Ability to demonstrate job expectations.4. Appointment subject to fingerprint clearance.5.
