The Waterville Central School District Transportation Department has current and immediate openings for Substitute Bus Driver and Attendants. A Civil Service application, fingerprint clearance and a high school diploma or GED are required. Drivers: Possession of or the ability to obtain a Clean Commercial License B, PS and a satisfactory driving record is required. Wages: Paid training up to 40 hours. Substitute starting rate of $19. Substantial increase in rate after 300 hours and then again at 100 hours of logged driving with the district. Possibility of moving into a full-time bus driver position. Full-time driver pay rate starts at $25+/hour. Benefits available with a full-time placement. School bus drivers are subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion and return-to-duty testing for alcohol and controlled substances as required by Board Policy and US Department of Transportation regulations.
