The Watertown City School District has an anticipated opening for a Senior Account Clerk Typist in the Business Office. Skills needed: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and modern methods for maintaining, auditing, and reconciling financial records and accounts. Proficient in office procedures, business communications, office equipment, and business English. Skilled in performing complex arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, percentages, and financial data with a high degree of accuracy. Experienced in reviewing, organizing, and analyzing financial information and preparing accurate records, reports, and documentation. Proficient in the use of computers, word processing software, and other office technologies, with strong keyboarding skills. Ability to interpret and follow complex oral and written instructions accurately. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and interact professionally with the public. Detail-oriented with the ability to perform precise work requiring sustained concentration and accuracy. Able to meet the physical and visual demands of an office and financial records environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either: (A) Graduation from a NYS registered or regionally accredited college or university with an Associate degree in accounting, business, or closely related field; OR (B) Completion of 60 credit hours at a NYS registered or regionally accredited college or university which must have included at least 12 credit hours in accounting or bookkeeping; OR (C) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two (2) years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records; OR (D) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
