The Watertown City School District is accepting applications for a day-time Head Custodian.The Qualified Candidate will supervise and manage the cleaning and maintenance of the school and must be familiar with electrical, ventilation, heating and alarm systems. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and expected to oversee the work, as well as work alongside the cleaning force of a building that is constantly in use. Candidate must:Possess good leadership traits and have maintained an excellent attendance record as well as be in good physical working condition,Be familiar with the Siemens Building Management program, or willing to learn.Must be available for snow removal and overtime. Overtime may be required for building events.Must be willing to collaborate with building administrators to help maintain and improve a healthy and safe learning environment for staff and students.Must have three (3) years of experience in building cleaning and minor maintenance activities, one (1) year of which shall have been supervisory capacity; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience. In addition, candidates must meet Civil Service eligibility requirement for permanent appointment (which is to score in the top three of the NYS Head Custodian exam given by the City of Watertown).
