The district, located just 25 miles east of New York City in Wantagh, NY, includes three elementary schools (K-5), one New York State Essential Elements School to Watch middle school (6-8), and one National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence high school (9-12). The Wantagh UFSD is seeking a talented Physical Education teacher who will be a part of our Elementary School PE Staff for an 8 week leave replacement with a potential to serve as a permanent substitute for the remainder of the year. The successful candidate will : Have knowledge of and experience with NYSED Physical Education Standards Implement engaging lessons that create a positive learning environment for K-5 students Work collaboratively with colleagues to create interdisciplinary PE units of study Promote a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged Differentiate instruction for students with varying learning needs and abilities Support SEL goals and promote character development through active instruction NYS Physical Education Certification Required Application materials must be submitted on OLAS by July 5, 2026.
