The Wantagh School District is seeking a full-year Leave Replacement/Permanent Substitute Special Education Teacher at Wantagh High School. The successful candidate must be driven, flexible and adaptable, as teaching responsibilities will include leading instruction for our students in a 12:1:1 and ICT environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will be a Permanent Substitute Teacher in between leave replacement positions. This candidate will require the following: * Knowledge and experience practicing differentiated instruction at all levels of academic ability* Ability to provide a learning environment that supports the social-emotional well-being of all students and challenge them to work to the best of their ability.* Strong knowledge of instructional technology* Desire to be a student advocate. * Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with students, families, and faculty.Must have NYS Special Education Certification 7-12 or All GradesNYS K-12 fingerprint clearance
