The successful candidate should possess the following:Qualifications: High Proficiency in classroom instruction of students with disabilities in a Special Class (12:1:1) setting. A deep understanding in differentiated instruction and technology implementationElementary Certification in Special Education (SWD) K-6Experiences with developing IEPs, administering academic testing and participation in CSE meetings. Essential Functions: Design and execute lessons that provide learning opportunities in conjunction with student goals.Establish and maintain classroom routines and student behavior expectations in accordance with positive interventions and supports.Monitor student performance.Oversee the activities/roles of the assigned classroom aides.Keep open lines of communication with families of students within the classroom. Actively collaborate with team members to support students’ success.
