The Waterford-Halfmoon District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Coach to lead our Varsity Softball Team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in softball, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the field.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement training programs that enhance athletic performance.Organize and lead practices and games.Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and staff about team progress and expectations.Analyze player performance and provide constructive feedback.Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a cohesive athletic program.Qualifications:Previous coaching experience in softball at the high school, collegiate, or club level.Strong knowledge of softball rules and strategies.The ability to motivate and inspire athletes of varying skill levels.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Candidates must hold a valid NYS Teaching or NYS coaching certificate or be willing to obtain one.Salary per WTA contractApplication deadline: January 10, 2025Start date: March 17, 2025In addition to applying on OLASIf interested or if you have any questions please contact Kyle Williams at kywilliams@whufsd.org
