Waterford-Halfmoon Jr/Sr High School is searching for individuals who are looking for a career in the education sector. Our Teaching Assistants work directly with students assisting them with academics and eventually in earning their high school diploma. This position offers competitive pay and benefits. Staff members have the ability to participate in the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) through NYS. Our school boasts a high graduation rate, courses that prepare students for post school opportunities and a caring teaching staff that support students as well as one another.The successful candidate will work with students in the general education classroom setting at the Jr/Sr High School. Reinforce academic material, provide program modifications and testing accommodations. Must be flexible in working with many teachers, be able to accurately report student progress to their case managers on a weekly basis and have a positive attitude! Full time, 10 month position, benefits per the CSEA contract. Hours are 7:45-2:30. Must have appropriate NYS certification or be eligible for TA certification.
