Number of Positions: 1Salary: $49,202 - $69,480, commensurate with experienceLocation: Southern Adirondack Education Center, Hudson FallsWork Hours: Monday - Friday ; 8:00 - 2:45The Career & Technical Education (CTE) Integrated English Language Arts (ELA) Instructor is responsible for coordinating, developing and delivering a curriculum that seamlessly blends ELA skills with technical content across various CTE programs. This role requires a unique ability to contextualize language arts within real-world, career-focused scenarios, enhancing students' literacy skills while preparing them for future careers. Design and implement an integrated curriculum that aligns ELA standards with CTE content area; Collaborate with CTE instructors to identify opportunities for incorporating reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills into technical coursework;Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that engage students in both ELA and CTE concepts; Assess student progress in ELA skills within the context of their chosen CTE program;Track student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet varying abilities and learning styles;Prepare students for certification exams by reviewing materials and administering practice tests;Maintain accurate administrative records for attendance, grades, certification exam results, and other data;Stay current with both ELA teaching methodologies and industry trends in relevant CTE fields; Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents, advisory boards, and industry partners in the community;Implement BOCES policies, procedures and State Education Department mandates;Other duties as assigned.
