Number of Positions: 1Salary: $49,202 - $69,480, commensurate with experienceLocation: Southern Adirondack Education Center, Hudson FallsWork Hours: Monday - Friday ; 8:00 - 2:45The Career & Technical Education (CTE) Integrated English Language Arts (ELA) Instructor is responsible for coordinating, developing and delivering a curriculum that seamlessly blends ELA skills with technical content across various CTE programs. This role requires a unique ability to contextualize language arts within real-world, career-focused scenarios, enhancing students' literacy skills while preparing them for future careers. Design and implement an integrated curriculum that aligns ELA standards with CTE content areas Collaborate with CTE instructors to identify opportunities for incorporating reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills into technical coursework Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that engage students in both ELA and CTE concepts Assess student progress in ELA skills within the context of their chosen CTE program Track student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet varying abilities and learning styles; Prepare students for certification exams by reviewing materials and administering practice tests; Maintain accurate administrative records for attendance, grades, certification exam results, and other data; Stay current with both ELA teaching methodologies and industry trends in relevant CTE fields Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents, advisory boards, and industry partners in the community; Implement BOCES policies, procedures and State Education Department mandates; Other duties as assigned. Minimum RequirementsCandidates who do not hold the following certification(s), but have the appropriate industry experience and/or degree are encouraged to apply.
