Number of Positions : 1Salary Range: $49,202 - $69,480, commensurate with experienceLocation: SUNY Adirondack, Wilton, NYWork Hours: Monday - Friday ; 8:00 - 2:45 The classroom teacher shall be directly responsible to the Principal for Innovative Programs or other designated supervisor for the purpose of carrying out assigned portions of the educational program.Plans appropriately for class presentation;Adapts methods and materials to meet students' individual needs and abilities;Orients students in regard to subject content, goals, and objectives and teaches them in a consistent manner;Presents recommended course content in assigned classes;Controls and supervises classes in a manner that will be conducive to learning,Evaluates and reports on students' progress at designated intervals according to established procedures;Maintains student attendance records in the prescribed manner;Operates under school policies, procedures, and regulations;Supervises the care and use of the classroom equipment and supplies and maintains proper inventory procedures;Maintains supervision necessary for general student safety and control;Participates in the development of curriculum and programs;Cooperates with professional and non-professional staff of this school and other school districts in collaborative activities;Serves as a case manager for assigned students;Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements This title requires the applicant to have in-depth, comprehensive and appropriate work experience inthe artistic design of text and imagery used in a variety of platforms, including advertising; magazines,newspapers, and journals; television; film; and social, digital and other web media. All text and imageryare relevant to the sale of products, services, and the communication of ideas. Experience may include,but is not limited to, commercial artists, art and creative directors, graphic designers, and othercommercial production professionals such as commercial illustrators, animators, and packaging andlabeling specialists. This title does not include experience in traditional commercial printing industrymethods and techniques, which is included in the Printing & Lithography title in the Arts, A/VTechnology & Communications cluster listed below. Candidates who do not hold the following certification(s), but have the appropriate industry experience and/or degree are encouraged to apply. All applicant credentials will be reviewed by WSWHE BOCES Regional Certification Officer.High School Diploma or equivalent;A valid NYS Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification in Commercial Arts 7-12 or be eligible for this certificate based on relevant industry experience (4 years minimum or 2 years minimum with related degree).
