Number of Positions: 1Salary: $90,000-$95,000Location: BOCES-Wide (Office in Saratoga Region)Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pmProvides support for school development services, including staff and curriculum development activities, assessments, planning initiatives and data analysis services, based on component school district and BOCES Instructional Service’s needs.Works with component school districts and the BOCES instructional divisions to identify necessary professional development & curriculum development projects;Provides supervision and support to the BOCES Curriculum Coordinator for the implementation of curricular and instructional support for the CTE and Exceptional Learner Divisions;Meets with component district and BOCES leadership team members to assess, plan and establish goals and outcomes to improve teaching, learning and student outcomes;Designs and creates professional development content and activities for in-person, hybrid and asynchronous sessions to provide flexible learning opportunities;Provides staff development, technical assistance, and facilitation of professional development activities. Monitors and reports on progress and analyzes reasons for variance in each component district;Provides technical assistance, and facilitation of curriculum audits, curriculum alignment, development and revision across content areas to component school districts and BOCES. Supports districts' and BOCES implementation and progress monitoring of curriculum project work;Ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with established professional standards and protocols;Researches local, state and national trends and best practices in staff and curriculum development, instruction, assessment, data analysis and school improvement planning, and integrates this information into professional development programs and support provided to component school personnel and BOCES Instructional Services;Develops a work plan to provide flexible program options that will meet the present and future educational staff/curriculum development needs of the component school districts and the BOCES;Participates as a representative on the CTE Advisory Committee and External CTE Program Review Committees as needed for SED approval and re-approval process;Participates as a member of the Regional Curriculum & Assessment Council; prepares monthly agenda updates and/or facilitates meeting topics as requested;Assists with instructional support to districts' & BOCES teachers through a formative supervision process (instructional coaching);Provides supervision to the Curriculum Coordinator and Literacy Facilitators to support their roles in the implementation of the Literacy program for the Exceptional Learners Division;Serves as curriculum content representative for the SCDN initiative which includes participation in state meetings and the development and presentation of professional development;Collaborates with School Support Service colleagues to ensure a cohesive system of support and service delivery for district and regional needs;Collaborates and assists in the development and facilitation of the BOCES new teacher professional development program, as needed;Participates as a member of the BOCES Professional Learning Plan Committee and assists with the development and implementation of the BOCES Professional Learning Plan for the BOCES divisions;Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:NYS School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) Certification, NYS School Building Leader (SBL) Certification, NYS School District Leader (SDL) Certification, or appropriate teacher certification;Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in related field;Successful administrative experience (minimum 3 years);Successful classroom teaching experience (minimum 6 years in lieu of administrative experience);Knowledge of New York State's Learning Standards and Assessments;Demonstrated experience, interest and aptitude in staff and professional development, instructional strategy models, school improvement planning, and data analysis;Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
