Number of Positions: 1Salary: $25.50 - $35 per hour commensurate with experienceLocation: Southern Adirondack Education Center, Hudson Falls Work Hours: TBDResponsible for teaching Marine Technology using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting;Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students, which prepare students to gain/increase skills in the area of Marine Technology;Ensures adherence to all safety standards and practices, including oversight, care, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and materials;Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitor student’s performance;Implement a variety of instructional delivery methods, that include group or individualized instruction as well as computer programs that help students make learning gains;Create a climate that encourages and supports learning;Complete and maintain appropriate student registration, attendance, and assessment records;Responsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learning;Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent;Three (3) years minimum industry experience;Knowledge of basic boat and trailer repair;Knowledge of seasonal boat preparation.Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
