Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates the need for a Professional Development Program Specialist in our Division of Instructional Support Services. This is a 12 month position (200 days per year). Salary is in the low $80,000 range plus benefits.QUALIFICATIONS:• Master’s Degree• New York State Education Department Professional or Permanent Teaching Certification• A minimum of five years related experience• Demonstrated knowledge of NYS Next Gen Standards K-12JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the delivery and development of professional learning workshops and provide standards-based curriculum development for K-12 teachersCoach teachers and support staff in classroom and other school-based settingsFacilitate district initiatives in curriculum mapping and curriculum writing projectsWork in collaboration with BOCES staff development teams to plan and support professional development in participating districtsWork in collaboration with the Coordinator of Professional Development to meet the professional development needs of component districtsSeek research, new ideas and staff development initiatives which may have relevance to the needs of component school, BOCES and personnelAssist in the implementation of grant requirementsConduct and attend local, regional and state-wide meetings representing Western Suffolk BOCESAbility to travelOther responsibilities as assigned by the Divisional Administrator Curriculum/InstructionTo apply, please upload your resume and cover letter.
