Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates an opening for a Divisional Administrator of Educational Services.QUALIFICATIONS:New York Certification as a teacher with at least five years of teaching experienceNew York Certification as a School/District Administrator Duties and ResponsibilitiesRegional Summer SchoolManages all matters of service delivery related to the Regional Summer School, including program, personnel and program forms, budget management, registration verification, schedule verification, seat count analysis for billing, and compilation of data for final program reportActs as liaison between districts, summer school staff, administrators and BOCES during application, hiring and program operationActs as resource for day to day questions, problems, in regard to personnel, payroll, districts and parentsActs as a mentor to the Regional Summer School administrative staffOutdoor Environmental Education ProgramManage day-to-day operations and long-term projects of the Outdoor Environmental Education ProgramOversee the operation of three Outdoor Learning Labs and manage aspects of this K-12 environmental education program, including staffing, budgeting, managing district commitments, vendor contracts, planning, scheduling, creating reports and assessing programsTo work as a member of a team, including networking with colleagues, staff, volunteers, State Parks, BOCES, SCOPE, teachers, science coordinators and field trip sitesTo conduct other activities, such as, grant writing, curriculum development and program evaluationProvide trainings in the area of training, project-based learning, environmental education, etc. for teachers and staffOversee educational displays prepared in the learning labsDivision of Instructional Support ServicesProvides leadership in the use of multiple measures of data to inform and improve programs and servicesDesign, development and implementation of a business plan that addresses the identification of viable services and seek out new program opportunitiesAssists in planning, development, implementation and marketing of Divisional programs and servicesRepresents the Division at various meetings related to instructional support areasAdditional responsibilities as assigned by the Divisional DirectorTo apply, please upload your resume and cover letter.
