The White Plains Public Schools is seeking an Elementary School Principal for the 2026-27 school year. NYS certification as an Administrator, SDA, SAS, SBL or SDL is required for this 12-month position. Qualifications include: Prior leadership experience as a principal preferred, with a strong background as an instructional leader Strong leadership, management, instructional, and organizational skills Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Leader in equity and cultural competence Familiarity with a range of K-5 curricula Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups Elementary Principals are responsible for the overall administration and supervision of the instructional program, support services and building operations. Other responsibilities include: Coordinate the instructional program to ensure that all students achieve at the highest levels Facilitate pupil support services Supervise and evaluate all certified and classified staff Provide opportunities for staff development and professional growth Develop a building budget and monitor expenditures Salary placement as per the Administrators and Supervisors salary schedule with benefits.
