The White Plains Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Principal Grades 7-8 for the 2026-27 school year. NYS certification as a SDA, SAS, SBL or SDL is required for this 12-month position.Qualifications ideal candidate should have include:Prior leadership experience at the K-8 levelStrong leadership, management, instructional and organizational skillsFamiliarity with New York State Standards and AssessmentsStrong communication and human relations skillsDemonstrated ability to manage and support staff members through supervision and evaluationSuccessful teaching experience for a minimum of 5 yearsThe Middle School Principal is responsible for the overall administration and supervision of the instructional program, support services and building operations. Other responsibilities include:Coordinate the instructional program to ensure that all students achieve at the highest levelsProvide for a positive, high-expectations/high-support academic environment for students and staffSupervise and evaluate all certified and classified staffMaintain student discipline, order, and uniformity of organization; connect with studentsAssign and schedule teachers and students, in conjunction with coordinatorsDevelop a building budget and monitor expendituresSalary placement as per the Administrators and Supervisors salary schedule with benefits.
