NYS certification in Computer Science (all grades) or Educational Technology Specialist (all grades) is required for an anticipated Computer Science Teacher leave replacement position at the middle school level. Position is expected to become available mid-February 2025 and continue through end of May 2025 at the earliest. The ideal candidate will guide students through the various aspects of computer science including coding, algorithms, 3D printing and virtual reality. Familiarity with computer science curriculum standards and frameworks, knowledge of cybersecurity principals and experience with project-based learning approaches is preferred. Salary placement as per the White Plains Teachers Association salary schedule.
