The White Plains City School District is seeking dynamic special education teachers who are committed to the inclusion of students with learning differences. NYS certification in Students w/Disabilities Generalist 5-9 OR Students w/Disabilities Generalist 7-12 is required for a probationary tenure track Special Education Teacher position. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Experience with the following is preferred: Supporting students with individual education plans within general education classrooms - accommodating curriculum to provide access for studentsWilson Level certification or willingness to become Wilson Level 1 certifiedCreating lessons using Universal Design for LearningProgress monitoringImbedding social emotional learning strategiesTeaming with staff to support studentsPositive behavioral supportsSalary placement as per the White Plains Teachers Association salary schedule with full benefits.
