NYS certification in Childhood Education 1-6 and/or Common Branch Subjects (Prek-6) required for an Elementary Mathematics Specialist position at Ridgeway Elementary School. Math background/certification and Spanish speaking preferred. This is a probationary tenure track position for the 2022-23 school year. Selected candidate should have the following qualifications:Demonstrated knowledge of multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) and Response to InterventionDemonstrated ability to use assessment data to inform instruction and programming decisionsDemonstrated ability to design scaffolds of instruction and extension opportunities for studentsThe Elementary Mathematics Specialist will be responsible, among other things for:Providing push-in, targeted, small group instruction to students who are performing below mastery on identified math concepts and provide extensions of learning to meet students' needsParticipating in professional development opportunities in Mathematics content, in consultation with K-6 Coordinator of MathematicsAssisting with organization of Math assessment scheduleSalary placement as per the White Plains Teachers Association salary schedule with full benefits.
