Worcester Central School is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated special education teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with special needs. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing a success-oriented learning and/or skills-building experience for designated students. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs. Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. Attend faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related events as required.Qualifications:Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Special EducationValid NYS teaching certification in special education K-6, 7-12, or K-12Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPossess strong behavior management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and parentsAbility to differentiate instruction in order to meet the needs of our studentsExperience teaching students with special needs in a secondary school setting preferred This is a Full-time, tenure track position to begin September 2023.Please submit a cover letter, a resume, district application, a list of professional references, and college transcripts.Applications accepted through July 1, 2023 EOE
