Anticipated full time probationary position available for the 2022-2023 school year:RequirementsCareer Technical Education, certified teacher (CTE)If not a certified CTE Teacher, must possess a minimum of two years documented industry experience in one of the follow fields: Motorcycle, Marine or Outdoor Power Equipment and be willing to obtain NYS teacher certification Job DescriptionImplement the industry-based curriculum.Provide instruction and program management in the areas of light maintenance and repair.Commit to continuous, ongoing professional development and certification courses, including curriculum development and assessment, summer programs, trainings in the use of instructional technology and other content-specific trainings.Implement a project-based approach to critical thinking and problem solving skills needed for current and future industry employment standards.Prepare instructional materials, maintain equipment, and manage materials of instruction which maximize the resources needed to deliver effectively a diverse instructional program.Work with staff and postsecondary institutions to develop and maintain career pathways that prepare students for certification, apprenticeship, licensure, employment, and college degree programs.Demonstrate an understanding of, and lead student experiences in SKILLS USA student organization.Contribute to the mission of the school by striving to attain school improvement plan and career completer goals.Work with employers and community groups to promote the advance technical skills through an active program advisory committee.Participate in recruitment of students.Appropriate NYS certification is required.
