Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Description: The Waterloo Central School District is seeking an experienced, energetic individual to fill this key administrative position within its District. The Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Curriculum directs the following programs and initiatives:1. General and Special Education Instruction K-122. Professional Development3. District Grant Writing and Administration4. Educational Program Reviews5. Ensuring compliance with all NYS Education Regulations EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (Illustrative Only) 1. Assists the Superintendent with all instructional aspects of the school system.2. Oversees the development of district grade level expectations, standards and exit outcomes. 3. Designs and supports staff development and serves as the Chair for the Professional Development Team.4. Assists with formulation of School District goals, objectives, policies and procedures.5. Serves as an advisor and consultant to the building principals and their staffs in matters related to the improvement of student learning results. Provides assistance, information and resources to help teachers and principals in their responsibilities in relationship to instruction.6. Assists administrators with improvement of district and building instructional programs.7. Assists in the coordination of K-12 Technology, particularly in the areas of instructional technology (integration of curriculum, instruction, technology and staff development).8. Actively pursues current educational research in relation to existing practice and makes informed recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools.9. Acts as the Homeschool Coordinator and the McKinney Vento Compliance Officer.10. Performs other related work and undertakes special projects as assigned.
