Alternative Classroom Teacher, Grades 6-8 Probationary Appointment, start date 5/1/2026 QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Teaching Certification Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students and families. Demonstrated knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring student intervention plans Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) preferred Ability to collaborate with colleagues Ability to supervise support staff Previous experience in alternative education or with at-risk students is preferred. SALARY: Minimum $52,315.57 per WEA Contract of agreement with Masters with additional $7,500 annual stipend.
