The West Islip School District is seeking a Literacy Coach Leave Replacement. Candidate Qualifications:-Experience with evidence and research-based intervention literacy practices and programs; including Fundations & Wilson-Knowledge of student data collection and analysis methods to increase student learning -An understanding of the Response to Intervention process and the Multi-tiered System of Supports framework -The ability to collaborate and communicate with teachers to ensure successful program implementation. Responsibilities of Position: -Provide push in and pull out literacy support for Kindergarten to 5 classrooms and students.-Facilitate Fundations and Wilson lessons -Collaborate with K-5 teachers to support effective literacy instruction Required Certification(s): - Literacy (Birth-Grade 6) Anticipated Start Date: Mid-February 2025 Anticipated: 12 weeks
