PERSONNEL BULLETIN FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR: Special Education Teacher for the STRIVE Program at Park Avenue School The Westbury UFSD is seeking a Special Education candidate to teach the STRIVE Program at Park Avenue School. STRIVE stands for Scholars that Reach Independent Vocational Excellence and the program consists of an 8:1:3 special class where the focus is on fostering daily living and functional academic skills utilizing a special curriculum and N2Y. Requirements:Current and valid New York State School Certification in one or more of the following areas required:New York State Special Education Permanent Certification.New York State Students with Disabilities Childhood (1-6) Certification.New York State Students with Disabilities All Grades (Pre-K-12) Certification.Experience with students with IEP’s who have moderate to severe disabilities, preferred. Types of PositionProbationary/tenure track position.Start Date of August 28, 2024.Must be willing to attend New Teacher Orientation on August 26 and 27, 2024 (8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.).
