General responsibilities of this position include assisting the school principal in leadership, coordination, supervision and management of the school programs and operation. Candidates will be expected to provide four (4) letters of recommendation written within past 18 months bearing the writers' signatures.The essential duties of the position include ability to supervise staff in the Elementary School when the Principal is absent from the building; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the District’s policies and applicable laws; assisting in coordinating the development of the master teaching schedule; administering a program of student discipline; interacting with students to encourage positive performance; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
