The Valley Stream CHSD, a beautifully diverse school community, is currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated instructional leader whose responsibilities will include the supervision of the District’s Curriculum and Instructional program grades 7-12. The essential responsibilities include investigating and presenting new program initiatives based upon district-wide achievement, data collection and analysis, and both short and long-term instructional planning. Additional responsibilities include implementation of diversity initiatives as well as supervision of Department Chairs and District Directors including Instructional Services, Fine and Performing Arts, Special Education, Guidance/C.I.O., Health, P.E. & Athletics, Alternative Programs, and Restorative Practices and Community Engagement. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a wide array of staff, administrators, parents, and community members. Strong analytic skills as well as proficiency in the use of instructional technology are a priority. NYS District Administrative certification required.
