Teaching Assistant (Leave Replacement approx. 9/5/23-11/10/23) The Position The Voorheesville Central School District has one full-time leave replacement Teaching Assistant position available at the CA Bouton High School. Salary and benefits for this position are stated in the current UEV contract. The position begins approximately September 5, 2023 through approximately November 10, 2023. Qualifications 1. Must be certified as a teaching assistant.2. Experience working effectively with students with a variety of disabilities and special needs.3. Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.5. Excellent work habits and employment attendance history.6. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.7. Excellent references. General Duties Provide support and supervision to special education students, including support with ADLs.Assist Special Education Teachers and related service providers in the implementation of the students’ individual education plans.Revising lesson material with students individually or in small groups.Monitor and assist students in all aspects of the school day.Ensuring the classroom environment is safe and clean.
