Position Summary: Provide support to individuals in various job sites both on and off Vanderheyden campus. Work directly with Workplace Coordinator and Transition Coordinator to assist in organization and procuring job sites. Assure the safety of working individuals at all times. Provide transportations to and from job sites using Vanderheyden vehicles. Support all aspects of student jobs including (but not limited to):Modeling ActivitiesStudent supervision Appropriate job dress/appearance and hygieneComplete understanding of the job and all tasks related to the specific workAppropriate job personal interactionsTimely issuance of all job-related documentation and paper workPunctuality and attendance Primary Duties & Essential Functions:Provide 1:1 or small group instruction in the classroom or community/work setting under the direction of the Transition Coordinator/Workplace Coordinator.Communicate consistently and effectively with Vanderheyden personnel (Director of Student Services, Guidance/Transition Coordinator, Workplace Coordinator) and work site personnel.Evaluate student progress and record data.Implement student management plans and IEP related supports as necessary.Work flexibly with students of varying abilities.Recognize opportunities to fade support as they arise.Provide input into job development and opportunities for expansion.Demonstrates and model a strong and positive work ethic.Assist with any required paperwork.Transport students to and from job sites Plan and schedule transportation routes for effective use of timeUnderstand and disseminate/support information regarding CDOS commencementrequirements and responsibilities.
