The Valhalla Union Free School District has an anticipated vacancy for a . 6 Speech and Language Pathologist to provide therapeutic intervention in all the areas of speech and language development effective September 2025. Candidate must possess the ability to interact with and complete assignments in a manner sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Knowledge of ASHA requirements and experience with the following:Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives.Maintain daily records of student progress.Review student progress and submit reports in a timely manner.Submit progress updates and IEP goals in speech for annual reviews, requested reviews and graduating students.Utilize standardized tests as well as clinical observations to assess students’ strengths and deficits and prepare written annual evaluation reports.Provide consultation to classroom staff in speech and language. Participate actively as a member of the school’s interdisciplinary therapeutic team, attend regularly scheduled staff and team meetings.Refer children for additional audiological consultations and medical evaluations when necessary.Provide guidance and workshops to families to enhance the development of speech and language skills in the home.New York State Certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech-Language DisabilitiesExperience with bilingual evaluations is a plus.
