QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Speech Pathology License.New York State Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSSH)/ Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).Experience with children with Autism and/or expressive/receptive language disorders.Experience with Feeding and AAC devices. REQUIREMENTS:Implement treatment plans as part of therapeutic intervention in the area of Speech & Language development in a pull out as well as push in model while utilizing a variety of strategies to help students access the curriculum.Utilize standardized tests and dynamic assessments to assess students’ strengths and deficits and prepare written evaluation reports and annual review reports.Develop Speech and Language components of IEPs for classified students.Attend meetings to report on students’ needs, progress, and evaluation results.Provide consultation and support to parents, faculty, and staff.Completion of daily treatment notes, quarterly progress notes and annual reports.Provide guidance and workshops to parents to enhance the development of Speech & Language skills.Bilingual Candidates are encouraged to apply.
