The Valley Central School District seeks an interim high school principal as it conducts a search for the next principal of our High School. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities for the role of interim principal, may include but are not limited to: Support District’s vision, mission, and goals as it aligns with student achievement and successOversee daily school operations Conduct classroom observations and provide teacher feedback Support professional development for teachers and staffFoster a positive, inclusive school culture Build school, district and community relationships Utilize data to drive instructional decisions All other typical functions of a high school principal QualificationsValid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL) certificationMaster’s degree in Education or related field Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience, and 3 years of leadership or administrative experience is preferred including serving as a high school principal Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, instructional leadership, and school operationsStrong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCommitment to equity, excellence, and student-centered leadershipCompensation: Per Diem Tentative Start Date: July 1, 2025 Tentative End Date: Late August 2025 to September 2025 (dependent on selection of a successful candidate for the full-time position)Applications will be collected until the position is filled.
