Valley Stream District #30 (Elementary Education K-6) VACANCY FOR 2026-2027 GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHER [LEAVE REPLACEMENT - APPROX. 6 WEEKS] Starting date: Immediate Qualifications: Valid NYS certification Childhood Education (1-6) Eligible for hire via Project SAVE requirements Position Descriptions: Plan and deliver differentiated whole-group, small-group, and individualized instruction. Use evidence-based literacy and effective mathematics practices, including tools and manipulatives. Use assessment data to adjust instruction, group students, monitor progress, and support referrals. Implement RtI/MTSS strategies and appropriate support for Multilingual Learners and students with individualized plans. Maintain a positive, structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Maintain accurate records and administer required formal and informal assessments. Communicate student progress effectively and professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administrators. Follow all Board policies, District procedures, and safety and security protocols. Attend required meetings and professional development and demonstrate continued professional growth. Perform other related duties as assigned.
