Valley Stream School District 30 (Special Education K-6) ANTICIPATED VACANCY FOR 2025-2026 Special Education Long Term Substitute Teacher Dates: April 13, 2026-June 30, 2026 Qualifications: Valid NYS certification: Students with Disabilities Birth - Gr. 2; Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6 Eligible for hire via Project SAVE requirements. Bilingual (SPA or Urdu ) preferred Requirements: Experience in a Special Education Class Provides specialized instruction to students with disabilities and follows the IEP Employ positive and therapeutic behavioral intervention strategies Collect data to monitor student progress and drive instruction Work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to develop IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success. Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs and progress reports, in compliance with legal requirements.
