COMMUNITY SERVICES INFORMATION ASSISTANTSTARTING DATE: ImmediatelyJOB DESCRIPTION: Facilitate connections between families, students, and various community agencies and government offices to ensure families receive the support they need.Maintain up-to-date files of publications and manages the community information website to keep the community informed of local resources available and events.Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute engaging community-focused events each year, fostering an inviting atmosphere that encourages participation and resource awareness.Present to diverse community groups about available resources and services, fostering strong relationships within the community, and our school. Collect and present monthly reports with measurable data that track family engagement with measures of effectiveness.Assist families and students in navigating social services and community resources, providing guidance and support throughout the process.Conduct outreach to our school community to ensure equitable access to services and resources.Respond to inquiries from community members in a timely and helpful manner, providing accurate information and referrals.Monitor and evaluate community needs through surveys and feedback, making recommendations for service improvements.Participate in community meetings and forums to represent the organization and advocate for community needs.Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or designee QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one registered by the State of New York, and, [1] One year of satisfactory experience in areas related to community activities, ORGraduation from high school, and, [5] five years in community activities including [1] one year involving public information work.
