ANTICIPATED VACANCY 2026–2027 School Year ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHER (K–6) (Probationary) Valley Stream UFSD 24 is building toward Vision 2030, a future where every student develops the knowledge, skills, and habits needed to thrive in an increasingly complex world. We are seeking elementary educators who are committed to strong instruction and continuous growth; teachers who understand that what happens in elementary classrooms lays the foundation for all future learning. Qualifications The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: NYS Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2) and/or Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Strong capacity to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Ability to collaborate with colleagues to plan and refine instruction Effective use of instructional technology to enhance learning Ability to analyze and utilize student data to inform instruction Compensation will be in accordance with the Valley Stream Teachers’ Association Agreement Qualified candidates should submit a resume, letter of interest, and proof of certification via OLAS (www.olasjobs.org).
