Probationary Appointment Anticipated Art Teacher, 6-12 (1.0)Commencing: August 28, 2024Brief Description: The Union Springs Central School District is looking for a candidate to fill an anticipated art teacher vacancy in the middle school and high school. The successful candidate will need to:Demonstrate an ability to inspire artistic talent;Have experience with digital photography and building a yearbookPossess exemplary instructional, management, and organization skills;Exhibit a passion for the visual arts and possess strong artistic skills;Build a positive rapport with students and parents;Have a willingness to work with different learning styles and student needs, helping students to explore art as a demonstration of culture;Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills;Be a team player;Have a strong commitment to professional learning and a growth mindset;Be an excellent role model for students, motivate students to put forth their best effort, and appreciate and reward individual progress.Certification Required: Art/Visual ArtsMinimum Starting Salary: $55,995 with credit given for prior experience and benefits per the Union Springs Teachers’ Association contract.
