Full Time Position – A.J. Elementary School This is a provisional Civil Service position. When the examination is scheduled, you must pass and score within the top 3. Possession of or eligibility for licensure to practice, and current registration as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) issued by the NYS Education Department at the time of application.Union Springs Central School District has an opening for a provisional/temporary Mental Health Therapist (School). The successful candidate will provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic and personal/social development for all students. The successful applicant will assist students in goal setting based on academic and social/emotional data through individual and group activities; and by providing planned, short-term and goal-focused counseling. The mental health therapist will consult and collaborate with staff to support student achievement, and will establish positive relationships with families to support students as they learn and grow at AJ Smith Elementary School. Minimum Salary: 52,800.00 (based upon experience/certification)Benefits: Per USTA contract.
