The Dean of Academic Intervention Services will work with the Lawrence Road Middle School Administrative Team to lead initiatives around school culture, restorative justice, socio-emotional learning and student management. This individual will work closely with the middle school principal to establish a positive, inclusive and student-centered culture that promotes academic and social success for all learners.Job Qualifications: Masters degree or higher Valid NYS certification as School Building Leader required Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Experience in administration and supervision preferred Minimum of three years teaching experience in public secondary schools preferred Demonstrated knowledge of the PowerSchool student database system or student datamanagement systems Demonstrated experience in the application of restorative practices to address student discipline Demonstrated evidence of ability to partner with parents to support student achievement Demonstrated ability to conduct classroom observations and provide teachers with actionablefeedback.Major Responsibilities: Prepares Master Schedule Coordinates crisis management and develops plans to foster and maintain a positive school climate Manages systems that support student safety during hallway passing, entry, dismissal and mealtimes Meets with students, families and guardians to mediate conflict and plan for student success Supports teachers and other school personnel in empowering students to achieve success Supervises instruction for assigned departmentINSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS:Submit letter of interest and resume on-line to: www.OLASjobs.orgMultilingual applicants encouraged to apply.Please do not submit additional materials via: e-mails sent directly to School District employees; the U.S. mail;hand-delivery; or fax machine.
