The Ulster BOCES Academic Summer School Program is seeking an energetic and upbeat nursing professional to work in our fast-paced summer school. Fingerprinting required. All Civil Service laws, rules, and regulations apply.COMPENSATION:Nurse LPN $2,240.00 (per session)Nurse RN $2,517.00 (per session)This is a non-benefited position.WORK SCHEDULE:The program runs 4 days per week between July 5 and August 17, Monday to Thursday, from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm. Possible locations include Ellenville and New Paltz school districts.SPECIFIC DUTIES:Duties include assessing the health needs of students, parents, staff, and principals. Experience and ease with computers and people are essential.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:For RPN:- Possession of a license and current registration issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.For LPN:- Possession of a license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse issued by the New York State Education DepartmentOR- Possession of a limited permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse issued by the New York State Education Department with the following restrictions: Incumbents with permits must be under the supervision of a nurse currently registered in New York State and if the permittee fails the professional licensing examination, he/she must be terminated from the position of Licensed Practical Nurse.AGENCY OVERVIEWOur Mission: At Ulster BOCES, our mission is to provide high quality shared educational, administrative, and technical services that will enable component school districts to develop the capacity of their students and adults to achieve higher standards of performance.
