At least three years’ experience in administration and supervision is highly preferred.Reports to: Superintendent & Assistant SuperintendentsJob Goals: To serve the district as leader, advisor, advocate, and resource overseeing the implementation of the school’s quality program of wellness and social emotional learning.Supervises: Social Workers and Family Support Center Coordinator Job Responsibilities:Social Emotional Learning• Coordinates Social Emotional Learning curriculum development and implementation, K-12, in conjunction with the departmental teams, Directors of Curriculum and the Assistant Superintendents.• Coordinates selection, utilization, and maintenance of all instructional materials used as part of the SEL curriculum.• Collaborates with the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Pupil Services and Director of DEI as necessary, to provide leadership in SEL to instructional leadership teams including training, goal setting, implementation of plans, and evaluation of work. Attends all appropriate meetings.• Stays current with State mandates and instructional best practices and communicates this information in a timely and effective manner to all applicable parties.• Collaborates with the Director of Athletics, PE and Health to align SEL curriculum.• Provides leadership and direction to the Social Work Team and Family Support Center Coordinator. Athletics, Physical and Mental Well-Being• Facilitates District Board Advisory Team on Health and Wellness.• Collaborates with Director of Athletics on Wellness Initiatives• Collaborates with the Director of Athletics, PE and Health, Director of Facilities and Communications Coordinator to schedule and manage all events, practices, and media for athletic teams.• Collects data on student success and participation in academics, athletics and extra-curriculars. Serves as the liaison between staff, caregivers and Director of Athletics, PE, and Health. Other Administrative Tasks• Maintains a full APPR teacher caseload and collaborates with building and district administrators to support APPR evaluation processes• Supports the hiring of staff in conjunction with the building principals, AD and Administrative Department Heads.• Keeps the Assistant Superintendents, the Superintendent, and Board of Education informed concerning all major developments in the schools through regular reports.• Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendents.• Participates in meetings, committees, and activities that might be necessary to produce an effective instructional program.
